About Mike Miller...

Mike Miller
Mike Miller handily dodging Bligh Reef

Mike Miller of Juneau, publisher of SoutheastAlaskaBnBs.com and it's sister site AlaskaCruisingReport.com, is one of Alaska's best known travel writers. He and his wife Marilyn arrived in the then-Territory of Alaska in 1954. Since then his Alaska stories have appeared in hundreds of newspapers and magazines. Book and book-chapter credits include Fodor’s Guides, Globe-Pequot, Insight Guides, Sierra Club Books, The Milepost and more. Magazines that have published his stories over the years have varied from Alaska Magazine and Field and Stream to Home & Away (an AAA publication} and the travel agency magazine TravelAge West.

Among newspapers that have carried his by-line have been the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and Toronto Star. His annual roundup of Alaska-bound ships and cruises has been picked up by publications throughout the U.S. and Canada - from the Miami Herald on America's southeast coast to the northwest's Seattle Post-Intelligencer plus dozens of other papers in between. Mike lives and works (and plans his own cruises) from the Juneau home and office that he and Marilyn share on the shores of Gastineau Channel, overlooking the city’s cruiseship dock.

This site's goal is to provide contact information for every Bed and Breakfast, Hostel, Inn etc. in Southeast Alaska including the address, phone/fax numbers, email addresses, web sites and more to help you in your travel planning. Please be aware, however, that we have not inspected the rooms and premesis of these accommadations – other than those in which we have very happily stayed. I can say that I have never had any troubling experience with any segment of the visitor accommodation industry in Southeast Alaska.

So... again a hearty welcome to SoutheastAlaskaBnBs.com!  We hope you will bookmark this site and visit us often.
